Los Angeles

10 Things I've learned while living in Los Angeles

1. Prepare to sweat. It's hot here.

2. Don't drive between the hours of 4:30 - 8:00 unless you have 3 different friends you need to catch up with on the phone or are really skilled at multitasking while multitasking while driving.

3. Keep your eyes on the road because you never know when someone is going to cut you off, then honk at you because you were the asshole in the situation.

4. Finding living arrangements is a pain.

5. Breaking into the entertainment industry is a pain.

6. Don't be afraid to be friendly to other people. They're friendly too. It's just not the culture to talk to strangers around here.

7. Homeless men will get in your face, so avoid them for the most part. And check over your shoulder in odd parts of downtown, because a meth head with too much time on his hands might be following you. (True story)

8. Treat every person you meet like you just might work with them in the future. The entertainment industry is a small world. And let's be honest, the world is a small world so don't be a dick.

9. If you are planning on going dutch at dinner, ask servers to split the check at the beginning of the meal! This will help you avoid one passive aggressive, "Sure, I guess." , Venmo requests, math, awkwardness, and math.

10. There is always a free concert somewhere. Get acquainted with your google search bar. Check your email for shows. And keep in mind 2 drink minimums are sometimes required. (Sometimes)
